Edgy , Trendy and Young

High end fashion from Bill Trotter Destin Colorist and hair stylist

Edgy , Trendy and Young Hair by Bill Trotter

Every Hairstylists dream. Youth and artistic freedom is the perfect storm for a great photo shoot.

The truth is the face sells the product every time. If you have a 20 year old who wants something edgy and fun it’s game time for the hairstylist.

We know that this will be a great photo opportunity for a photo shoot. You can have a young woman with ultra modern hairstyle and vivid colors dressed in a garbage bag and the photos will be amazing. I see this in just about every magazine. Very young models selling high end designer clothes. Some of these girls are as young as 14. Yes, youth is wasted on the young.

As these women age, get married, launch their careers, the wild turns to mild. You need to have a hairstylist who is good at age appropriate styles and colors. I have done before and after photo shoots of women of all ages to show you that women of any age can have a beautiful makeovers.

Most of the artistic photos you see in magazines and online are to showcase a hairstylists creative talent. I love doing these shoots but these girls are not my bread and butter. They are few and far between. I have women of every age who I try to put a creative spin on their look.

Anyone can make a 19 year old look fabulous. It takes talent and experience to make a 50 year old look age appropriate and trendy at the same time. All the same, I still love makeovers at any age. Give me carte blanche and will give you something we are both proud of.

Fashion Shades

by Bill Trotter  ·  August 25th, 2017

Yes, fashion shades are fun but are these girls your main target market? I remember when I moved to New York many years back. I was fascinated by the punk rock culture. They wore the brightest hair colors. Yellow with black, pink or even green. By the way, I always thought green looked like someone’s…
