Corrective Color: A Two Fold Problem

I can’t count how many times a client makes an appointment for color and she shows up needing a total corrective color. This may take several appointments to get where you want to go. This is Bona. She arrived with six inches of orange roots with long platinum hair that was in bad shape. Here are the three stages of how we got her back to her platinum locks.

Bona had about six inches of orange roots and her platinum hair was breaking off by the handful.

After Bona’s First Visit: We had to cut a good amount of hair off. I mean it was breaking off in my hands. I did a dark grey shadow root and added more highlights and low lites to try to correct the orange gold tones at her roots. Ola Plex was a must to use to stop the breakage and seal in the color.

After Bona’s Second Visit: As you can see each time we get lighter and lighter. Ola Plex is a must.

After Bona’s Third Visit: She is now in the color family she really wanted and the breakage is gone all together.

Does long hair on older women look sexy or silly?
